Acts 26:29

My, Agrippa was almost convinced to believe in Jesus and His resurrection! Paul had been persuading, dialoguing, proving with evidence the case for Jesus Christ. Why would he do this to a heathen?
Since man was made in the image of God, one of those things included is the ability to reason, to think. A big part of who man is, is what he thinks.
This is at the very core of what repentance is. When you think of repentance, what comes to mind? If you say, feeling sorry for something, you would be correct according to a modern-day dictionary. However, this is not what is implied in Scripture. In the New Testament, every time you see the word repentance, it means change of mind. The context will tell you what they were to change their minds to or from. (Look at Acts 20:21).
How does one become as Paul? I would think this an impossible task. Paul was a very learned man. Devoted christian, willing to die for the cause of Christ. I do not think I could be like Paul. Yet, what was Paul referring to? Paul seemed to think that Agrippa and anybody else listening could become as he was. Paul is referring to a change of mind (repentance) towards God. King Agrippa needed to change his mind and believe that Jesus was God, that He had risen from the dead.
People have the ability to reason, to think, therefore to believe. They have faith built in but by default people don't believe that Jesus died for their sins and rose again. People would rather believe in religion and their own personal efforts. Perhaps king Agrippa was trusting in his own stature or intelligence and was difficult to rest in the facts that Paul argued for.
If, king Agrippa or anybody listening that day, after hearing the message of the good news, had believed, they would be like Paul - a child of God. This was Paul's desire as much for King Agrippa as for the people listening since Jesus had died for all.My, Agrippa was almost convinced to believe in Jesus and His resurrection!
